Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SpendMitra website (spendmitra.com) and service (the "Service") operated by SpendMitra ("us", "we", or "our").

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Service, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this Service.

Service Description

SpendMitra provides a comprehensive shopping lifecycle platform that includes:

  • Price Tracking: Monitoring product prices on Amazon India and Flipkart, with 6-month price history charts and analytics.
  • Price & Stock Alerts: Notifications via Telegram when a monitored product's price meets a user-set threshold, or when an out-of-stock product becomes available again.
  • Shopping Wardrobe: A personal product management space where users can save, organize, and track products through their shopping lifecycle (saved, purchased, return tracking, returned, refunded).
  • Collections: User-created curated product lists with custom sections, which can be kept private or shared publicly.
  • Return Tracking & Reminders: Tools to set return windows on purchased products and receive automated reminders before deadlines expire.
  • Deals Discovery: Algorithmically curated deals with scoring based on price data analysis.
  • Public Profiles: Optional public-facing profiles showcasing user collections.
  • Dashboard: Analytics and management interface for tracking alerts, savings, and shopping activity.

User Accounts

When you create an account with us via Google OAuth sign-in, you guarantee that the information provided is accurate, complete, and current. You are responsible for:

  • Safeguarding the credentials used to access the Service (your Google account security)
  • All activities or actions under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • The content of any public collections or profiles you create

Price Data and Third-Party Links

  • We do not control the price, availability, or quality of products sold by third-party retailers.
  • Our Service contains links to third-party websites (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart) that are not owned or controlled by SpendMitra.
  • SpendMitra has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.
  • Any purchase made is a transaction solely between you and the third-party retailer.
  • Price data is provided "as-is" and may have slight delays or inaccuracies.
  • Deal scores and badges are algorithmically generated and should not be the sole basis for purchasing decisions.

Return Tracking Disclaimer

SpendMitra's return tracking and reminder features are provided as convenience tools. You acknowledge that:

  • Return window calculations are based on dates you enter and may not reflect the actual return policy of the retailer.
  • Reminder notifications are sent on a best-effort basis and delivery is not guaranteed.
  • You remain solely responsible for verifying return deadlines with the retailer and completing returns on time.
  • SpendMitra is not liable for any losses from missed return deadlines.

User-Generated Content

By creating public collections or profiles, you grant SpendMitra a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the platform. You agree that:

  • You will not include misleading, offensive, or inappropriate content in your collections or profile.
  • SpendMitra may remove or restrict access to any user-generated content that violates these Terms.
  • You retain ownership of your collection organization and curation choices.
  • Product data within collections (images, prices, titles) belongs to the respective retailers.

Free Service & Affiliate Disclosure

SpendMitra is free to use. We earn revenue through affiliate commissions when you make purchases through our links. This comes at no additional cost to you.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Create collections or profiles with offensive, misleading, or harmful content
  • Manipulate hearts, engagement metrics, or deal scores

Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 15 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect (via the website or email). Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
